A footway survey of the whole network can be very time consuming, and expensive. The FNS survey has been created to help Local Authorities build a cost effective picture of the entire footway network. This survey provides for the first time, a snapshot as to the condition of the long forgotten category 3 & 4 footways network and where further investigation may be required with a full DVI survey.
